So the kids are home for winter break or maybe you're stuck quarantining and you need some ideas to keep the peace in the house and limit the screen time. Here are some quick and easy crafts that will get you at least 30 mins of happy time:
Salt Dough Ornaments
1 cup flour
1/2 cup table salt
1/2 cup warm water
Knead ingredients together to make dough. Roll dough out to 1/2" thickness. Use cookie cutters or for some great memories of your littles, cut out their handprints. Use a straw to punch out a hole to string thread through. Bake at 215 degrees for 1 hour on parchment paper.
Leave plain white for the natural look or paint with acrylic paint and add glitter ✨ (we're all about the glitter). ✨ Seal with mod podge to prevent moisture and molding.
Side note: the two year old was content with her "play dough" and hers did not go in the oven, but she was busy for oven an hour. Optional: add food coloring for more fun.
